Welcome to a tour inside the courtyard
Imagine standing in the middle of the courtyard of the Archbishop's Palace. You would see many different buildings, dating from the 1160s to the 1990s. They have been witness to momentous events in the history of Norway. Today there are two museums in the Archbishop's Palace, and during the summer months there are daily guided tours of the historic buildings.

This page allows you to "wander" around by clicking on the image. Press Shift + Ctrl to zoom in or out.

But remember, only being there in person gives you the real experience of standing in the middle of the courtyard!
