Speech and Language Therapist Astrid Bjørvik says the following about her lecture:

"Over the past few years, working as a speech and language therapist, I have specialised in fluency disorders, one of which is developmental stuttering (one is born with the predispositon to stutter). In my talk I hope do demystify stuttering and break down myths by referring to research and a few real-life examples of people affected by it. I will give some insight into what it can be like to live with stuttering and what can be done to help a person with stuttering. Hopefully my talk will also inspire some reflections on the broader consequences of speech impediments in communcation and our perception of others."
