Our carpenters perform many different tasks in Nidaros Cathedral and in the Archbishop's Palace. Restoration of the building mass and its interior makes up a large part of their work. In principle, they will restore everything from finer antique furniture to large timber constructions. The carpenters select and collect the timber that they use themselves from the forest, ensuring that the material quality is as near as possible to the original.

In addition, they are resposible for everything from the construction of special scaffolding to the production of modern furniture and technical installations used to convey the history of the Nidaros Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace.

The carpenters also perform various external assignments and cooperate with the local university in relation to education and research.
