MIDDAY PRAYER

The Midday Prayer takes place weekdays (Usually just Mon-Fri) at 12:05. This is a short service (ca. 15 min.) that mainly consists of exchange readings. Usually the prayers are read in Norwegian only, but dependent on who is the leader, and the attendants, parts may be read in English or German. The reading from the Holy Bible may be read in several languages (Please take part!)

The liturgy is found in Norwegian and English.

The Midday Prayer is led by lay voluntaries.

  • Wednesday we celebrate Eucharist in St John's Chapel (Southern Transept)

The Women's Memorial Chapel is situated in The Northern Transept. From the entrance at The West Front walk towards the middle of the cathedral, then turn left to find the chapel (Just underneath The Baroque Organ).
