Nidaros Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace Museum reopened May 19th

Nidaros Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace has reopened afte being closed due to curb the spread of the corona virus. We are complying with government regulations to protect the public and the health and safety of our employees.

For the time being, the following rules apply to visits to NIdaros Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace:

  • For infection protection, we are reducing the number of visitors who may be inside the cathedral at the same time.
  • The visitors must keep at least 1 meter distance to each other, this also applies in any queue outside the cathedral and inside the Visitors' Centre.
  • Contactless payment by card is recommended.
  • Anti-bacterial gel is available to the public in several places in the cathedral.
  • The Crown Regalia will be closed untill 2021.
  • The entrance fee for Nidaros Cathedral is also including entrance to the Archbishop's Palace Museum.
