Nidaros Cathedral's Cellar and Crypt
Join us for a walk through the cellar and crypt beneath Nidaros Cathedral. In the tombstone crypt, you will find Norway’s largest collection of medieval gravestones. Some of the gravestones have known owners, while others remain unidentified. From the crypt, we continue into the cellar, which is normally closed to visitors. Here, among other things, you will see a skeleton dating back to the latter half of the 11th century.
In the film Troll 2, some scenes are set in Nidaros Cathedral and its cellar. Please note that the cellar scenes were not filmed in the actual cellar.
