Welcome to the summer organ concert series in Nidaros Cathedral 2026.
Juan Maria Pedrero (*1974) was born in Zamora, Spain. He graduated with honors from the Liceo Conservatory of Barcelona, and later pursued further education in France.
After winning first prize at the Concours National Inter-Conservatoires de France in 2000, he was appointed organist-in-residence at the Sapporo Concert-Hall in Japan in 2001–02. Since then, he has performed in concerts in Europe, America and Asia.
Since 2004, he has been organ teacher at the Conservatory of Granada. He is a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Granada and director of the International Organ Academy. In 2019, he co-founded the Organ Academy of Castilla, where he teaches early Iberian organ music on the historic organs around Tordesillas (Valladolid).
He is the artistic director of the city of Granada as a member of the international association ECHO – European Cities of Historical Organs.
