Summer organ series | David Kiefer
Welcome to the summer organ concert series in Nidaros Cathedral 2026.
David Kiefer (*1996) from Germany has been named Young Organist of the Year 2026 by the European Cities of Historical Organs. He has studied church music, organ and organ improvisation. From 2024 to 2025, Kiefer was assistant organist at the Cologne Cathedral. Since 2024, he has taught organ and organ improvisation at the Musikhochschule Freiburg.
Kiefer has given concerts in St. Eustache in Paris, Sainte Chapelle de Versailles, St. Wenzel Naumburg, Stiftskirche Stuttgart, Schlosskirche Bayreuth, the Vaison-la-Romaine Festival, Ulm Cathedral, Magdeburg Cathedral, Essen Cathedral, Freiburg Cathedral and Cologne Cathedral, among others.
