We currently have job openings for:

  • Ornamental plasterer/mould-maker - 1-year temporary position
  • Stone mason/stone carver - Permanent position

A suitable applicant would ideally:
Have relevant education and an interest in the uphold and development of traditional craft.
Have a versatile and broad competence within the field.
Be solution-oriented, inquisitive, and flexible.
Have good collaboration skills.
Either have proficiency in the Norwegian language, or be fluent in English.

Nidaros Cathedral Restoration Works

Nidaros Cathedral Restoration Workshop (NDR) was established in 1869 to rebuid Nidaros Cathedral. More than 150 years of continuous work upon the cathedral has contributed to the development of unique interdisciplinary expertise in the restoration of listed buildings in stone. NDR has a broad array of craftspeople working in the fields of stained-glass, plastering, masonry, blacksmithing, carpentry, stonemasonry and carving. These craftspeople, working together with architects, archaeologists, historians and conservators make up the restoration department, employed with construction and restoration tasks for the cathedral.
