Filming in Nidaros cathedral
For photography and filming intended for publication or commercial use, permission must be obtained from the Nidaros Cathedral Restoration Workshop (NDR) in advance.
Drone filming
As a general rule, Nidaros Cathedral Restoration Workshop (NDR) does not permit drone filming in the area surrounding Nidaros Cathedral and the Archbishop’s Palace.
In exceptional cases, permission may be granted for drone operations conducted by RO3-certified operators, provided that:
- explicit approval has been obtained from the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority;
- the pilot can provide documentation of the required qualifications and holds a valid operator authorization;
- all drone filming has been approved by NDR well in advance of the planned recording.
